‘Big AI is here’ – AI is not a fad – it will replace us

Artificial intelligence is here and it will soon be used in all sectors of our lives.

That is the message from Google’s new DeepMind AI project, which has created a platform for AI developers to tap into.

It also builds AI systems to perform tasks such as handwriting recognition, to help people understand speech.

It has developed software that helps people learn, from a first-person perspective, by taking videos of themselves or others and annotating the images.

Deep AI is an entirely new technology, said DeepMind founder Demis Hassabis.
